Amelia Clark has been an advocate for the undeserved in health care for over 15 years.  Beginning her career in school based clinics; Amelia has worked with charter schools, private schools, traditional public schools and the only Recovery High School in Indiana, Hope Academy to advance health care access.  Through her work with schools, Amelia transitioned to work with a large hospital system to grow school based clinics in Central Indiana.  Amelia’s work in schools was focused on integrated health care.  After working in school clinic administration, Amelia became the first Executive Director of the Jane Pauley Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center on the east side of Indianapolis. Amelia is currently the VP of Community Health for Meridian Health Services in Muncie, IN.  Meridian Health Services has been a community mental health center for almost 40 years serving East Central Indiana and in 2012 received FQHC LAL status for two of its sites, and in 2013 received a New Access Point grant to be a grant funded FQHC program.  In Amelia’s current position, she leads the primary care and integration efforts throughout Meridian’s service area, including 10 FQHC sites and the management of $1.9 million grant dollars.  Amelia has been a featured speaker at the National Council for Behavioral Health conference, and is also a published author on social justice pioneers. Amelia holds a BA in Anthropology and an MA in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University.  Amelia is active in the community, serving on the Boards of the Indiana Primary Health Care Association, the YMCA of Delaware and Blackford Counties, and Delaware County Christian Ministries.
