2026 Star Ratings have minimal impact on behavioral health care today. The CY 2027 final rule issued by CMS on April 2, 2026, changes the performance landscape, removing 11 measures and adding a Part C depression screening and follow-up measure.
Health plans start scoring the new measure on the 2027 measurement year. This session maps what plans will ask contracted providers to document, and what an organization will need to track before the measurement year opens.
