Deborah Sikes is the Chief Clinical Officer for ncgCARE, parent company to 7 behavioral healthcare organizations spanning Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. As a licensed professional counselor and licensed substance use treatment practitioner, Ms. Sikes has over 3 decades of experience in behavioral healthcare, to include the provision of direct care, clinical supervision, and administration of community and outpatient services, treatment foster care, crisis and residential services. Ms. Sikes currently oversees the ncgCARE Institute which is responsible for quality improvement, accreditation, management and leadership development, trauma-informed initiatives and oversight of clinical practice standards, evidence-based practice, clinical training and clinical outcomes.
Prior to ncgCARE, Ms. Sikes served in clinical roles at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, DC, the Loudoun County CSB and the Fairfax County CSB. Ms. Sikes joined NCG in 1996 and was instrumental in the expansion of programs and services throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Ms. Sikes is currently the immediate past chair of the Virginia Association of Community Based Providers, having served as chair from 2019 to 2021. Ms. Sikes earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas.
