Christina Funderburk is a Senior Associate at OPEN MINDS. With over a decade of experience as a data-driven, analytical, and innovative business strategist, she has advised start-ups to some of the world’s most recognizable brands including Mercedes-Benz USA, Apple, and AXA Financial.

Before joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Funderburk was the Senior Digital and Social Strategy Lead, Vice President at Syneos Healthcare in New York. During her time there, she led the global strategy and execution of digital and social content for Pfizer Oncology, Janssen North America, Jassen Market Access, and Johnson & Johnson MedTech. Ms. Funderburk also was the Vice President of Content and Channel Strategy, Health Sector at WE Communications. During her time at WE Communications, she worked with the global CEO and executive leadership team to generate new business within three months of joining the agency.

Before joining WE Communications, Ms. Funderburk gained a passion for health care while working on reform efforts under the Obama administration. After that work, she developed the engagement strategy content and content strategy departments at McCann Health NJ, first as Senior Engagement Strategist and then as Senior Content Strategist, Head of Content.

Ms. Funderburk has a special talent for enhancing global brand engagement through strategic content and digital innovation. She has a proven track record in identifying opportunities for market differentiation and evolving brand strategies rooted in data, insights, cultural awareness, and empathy.

Christina Funderburk graduated from Strayer University with an MBA in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She is also a graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Art in Humanities and a Minor in Art History and from Essex County College with an Associate in Arts degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Graphic Design. Outside of the office, Christina enjoys swimming, gardening, and attending music festivals.
