Maria Russo-Appel, M.D.

Dr. Russo-Appel is a native of Western Massachusetts and a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in psychiatry. She completed her fellowship at Mount Sinai in Administrative Psychiatry in 1997. She is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with a special interest in Women’s Issues in psychiatry, comorbid medical and psychiatric illnesses and addiction medicine. She has been a Suboxone provider since 2009. Dr. Russo-Appel has held many leadership positions in her career and most recently has been the Eastern Division Medical Director for CleanSlate Addiction Treatment Centers.
