Owen Heleen is Chief Strategy Officer at The Providence Center (TPC), responsible for working with the board of trustees and senior staff to develop TPC’s strategic vision, to build new partnerships to fulfill its mission, and to develop ways to communicate TPC’s work to a wide range of constituencies. Before joining TPC, Owen was Senior Director of Grantmaking at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation. Prior to his work in Boston, he served on the staff of the Rhode Island Foundation for eleven years, most recently as Vice President of Grant Programs. Before joining the Foundation, he held positions with the Public Education Fund (Providence) and the Institute for Responsive Education (Boston). He holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MA from Boston University. He serves on the boards of directors of the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, Continuum Behavioral Health, Inc., the PACE Organization of Rhode Island, and TPC Social Ventures, Inc.
