Jim is the Vice President of Behavioral Health/Psychiatry at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, NJ.  In July, 2016, Jim added the title Executive Director for an integrated Behavioral Health Program between Trinitas and St.  Joseph’s Hospital/Medical Center, Paterson, NJ.  Previously, President/ CEO of a large multi-service non-profit, serving children, adolescents and adults with multiple disabilities, in Livingston NJ.  President/CEO of Hall-Brooke Hospital, a 92 bed private psychiatric hospital/CMHC in Westport Ct., from 2007 to 2011.  From 1991 to 2007, Jim was the Vice President for Behavioral Health at Jersey City Medical Center.  Jim has 40 years of progressively responsible experience in large community behavioral health systems and extensive clinical and experience with adults with serious and persistent psychiatric disorders. Jim has a B.A. from Seton Hall University, a Master’s Degree from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from New York University.    Jim has maintained a private practice for 20 years and has been a faculty member in the graduate school at Rutgers University.  Jim has participated on numerous NJ State government behavioral health committees.  Significant accomplishments include:  winning major competitive grants including, most recently, a SAMHSA four year grant for Primary/Psychiatric Integrated Care.  Named “Provider of the Year,” by the NJAM HAA for counseling services provided at the Jersey City waterfront in the days following 9/11.  Jim is a speaker for three pharmaceutical companies.  Jim has numerous publications and invited presentations over many years.  Jim is licensed in New Jersey.
