The growth of alternate payment models and value-based reimbursement is reshaping the relationship between health plans and provider organizations—moving from a fee-for-service (FFS) transactional relationship, to a value-based partnership. But the question many executives are asking themselves is: How do we develop these new relationships with payers—and build sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships?
For provider organization management teams, this is where a specialized and focused approach to payer marketing comes in. The goal is to secure newly-emerging “partnership” opportunities with payers – partnership relationships that will involve assuming more accountability and financial risk for consumer services. This summit, exclusively designed for provider organization executives, will cover everything executive teams need to know to develop and negotiate partnership agreements with health plans. The agenda is designed to help executives of provider organizations to understand the needs of payers, reframe their services and programs into “solutions” for health plans, and build mutually beneficial partnerships with the payers in their market.
Throughout the day, we’ll hear case study presentations led by health plan executives who will discuss how their organization is managing the shift to value-based care; what they are looking for from their provider organization partners in terms of performance and program models; and examples of current provider organization partnerships.
At the end of the day, we’ll wrap up with a town hall discussion, where you’ll have a chance to talk with our health presenters, ask questions about their partnership opportunities, and discuss their perspective on the future of the value-based care market.
